Lapis Lazuli

Mineralogy: A rock type, containing primarily Lazurite, Calcite and Pyrite. Mined and carved as a decorative stone, this rock has a distinctive blue color (due to the Lazurite), and this name is often mistakenly given for the mineral Lazurite itself.

Metaphysical Properties: Lapis Lazuli is said to impart ancient knowledge, and the wisdom to enhance one's awareness, insight and intellect.  It enables one to obtain relief from things we have held onto for so long, giving us the mental endurance during the release of emotional stress.

Kyanite
